The third edition of the MaXserwis on Tour promotion, held this year, was entitled “Destination: Transylvania.” It’s no surprise, then, that the destination for the training and team-building trip, held from June 14-19, 2024, for the winners of the promotion, was Romania.
As with previous MaXserwis on Tour events, the journey was made aboard a modern coach, which departed on Friday evening from Auto Partner SA headquarters, taking our guests on a scenic adventure to Transylvania. On Saturday morning, the travelers were greeted by the stunning landscapes of Dracula’s homeland, with the first stop being the salt mine in Turda.
After exploring the underground salt tunnels, the group continued to their first destination—Sibiu, known for its beautiful old town and the iconic “Bridge of Lies.”
Sunday was packed with excitement as the group traveled along the famous Transfăgărășan Highway! This awe-inspiring route offers breathtaking views, thrilling hairpin turns, and sights like the towering 160-meter-high dam on the Argeș River that forms Lake Vidraru, as well as frequent bear sightings, creating a truly unforgettable experience that attracts tourists from around the globe.
After conquering the Transfăgărășan, the group’s next stop was Bran Castle, often associated with Dracula thanks to Bram Stoker’s novel. Though the real-life inspiration for Dracula, Vlad the Impaler, never lived there, the castle remains a significant attraction.
The final two days of the trip were focused on relaxation, with visits to key spots across Romania, including:
- Brașov, a city rich in history and an expansive Old City, along with a diverse architectural heritage,
- Predeal and Sinaia, mountain resorts that transform into skiing paradises in the winter.
On the return journey to Poland, the group visited Sighișoara, one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Central and Eastern Europe, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
After an exhausting but thoroughly rewarding trip, the group returned to the AP SA headquarters in Bieruń, tired but happy, already looking forward to MaXserwis on Tour 2025!
