The 5th round of the Polish Rally Championship is just around the corner, with Łukasz Byśkiniewicz and Daniel Siatkowski of the TVN TURBO RALLY TEAM ready to compete. From August 8-10, the Marma 33rd Rzeszów Rally will take place — a legendary and highly challenging event that has long been a fixture in the Polish championship.
The special stages in the Podkarpacie region draw an international lineup every year and are known for their thrilling and fierce competition. The TVN TURBO team, driving a Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo with the number 5, is aiming for top positions.
This year, 93 teams have entered the Rzeszów Rally, 29 of them in four-wheel-drive cars. Many participants are familiar with this rally. Byśkiniewicz debuted here in 2011, earning a podium finish in the former Polish Rally Cup. For his co-driver, Daniel, this will be his 8th start, and both agree that the Rzeszów Rally is one of their favorite events in the Polish Championship.
Łukasz Byśkiniewicz:
“I really enjoy the Rzeszów Rally and always look forward to racing in Podkarpacie. I love the atmosphere, the large number of spectators, the beautiful views, and above all, the fantastic and challenging special stages. While the routes can be tricky because they’re so complex, I feel comfortable on them, and driving them is a real pleasure. The Rzeszów Rally is famous for its narrow asphalt roads that wind through picturesque, hilly terrain. We’re constantly going either uphill or downhill. Corners lead us to the top, over the top, or through the ‘saddle.’ There are both very fast sections and slower, tighter turns. Daniel and I hope to fight for a podium finish, though it won’t be easy with the tough competition this year. But that doesn’t mean they can’t be beaten. I promise we’ll give it our all, racing efficiently and quickly, fighting for every tenth of a second. A big thank you to our partners for their continued support in the Polish Championship.”
Daniel Siatkowski:
“I have great memories of the Rzeszów Rally. This will be my 8th time competing here. I’ve made it to the podium three times in the overall standings of the Polish Championship at this rally. It always has a wonderful summer atmosphere. Like in the Košice Rally, we’re expecting some intense heat, but that’s just part of the event’s character. I’m excited for the start because the Rzeszów Rally features some of the most iconic stages. For both me and Łukasz, it’s one of our favorite rounds in the Polish Championship. Last year, we secured a podium finish, and I’m hoping for another successful run in Podkarpacie.”
