The event “Safe Travels with Quaro and Osram” has come to an end. On November 16, we held a special event for the promotion’s finalists, spending the past Saturday at the Modlin Circuit learning advanced driving techniques under the guidance of professional instructors.
The day began with a theoretical training session that set the tone for an exciting and unique experience behind the wheel.
The entire training program was divided into five modules:
- Understeer skid and braking in a curve,
- Oversteer skid with obstacle avoidance,
- Off-road driving,
- Drift training,
- Time trial challenge.
The first two exercises took place on skid plates, simulating extremely challenging road conditions. Obstacles, water, reduced grip, slalom, and varying braking speeds demonstrated how a car behaves during understeer and oversteer skids. The goal was to teach participants how to react appropriately to avoid collisions.
The next module saw participants switch to 4×4 vehicles, tackling challenges such as inclines, water obstacles, muddy descents, and traversing uneven terrain. The two off-road zones at the Modlin Circuit perfectly showcased the capabilities of true off-road vehicles.
Think drifting is an easy sport? Our finalists quickly learned otherwise. On the controlled drift track, each participant had the chance to test their skills and experience the thrill of sliding sideways. As it turned out, maintaining a drift requires exceptional skill and a strong feel for the car.
The final module, which also added a competitive edge, was a specially designed track completed in the ultra-fast Megane RS. Speed and precision determined the best drivers, who were rewarded with special prizes.
This unforgettable event will surely remain in the memories of our clients.
We hope the experience gained and the valuable tips from the instructors will help in everyday driving, especially now during the challenging autumn and winter seasons.
