Downsizing is a common trend in the construction of modern drive units these days. In a nutshell, it means that the cubic capacity of engines has decreased, and the engines themselves have been boosted by a turbocharger. Petrol engines are now equipped with a direct fuel injection system. And thereby, the drive units have become much more ecological and more efficient than the older designs.
